VV Mineral Vaikundarajan Says Thorium Is A Delisted Heavy Mineral

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan says that each publication is pegging the alleged scam at various amounts that are equally shocking and senseless. Thorium was previously on the list of minerals that cannot be mined but was later removed by government came into affect.

Vaikundarajan of VV Minerals India says that the alleged
thorium scam is a much bigger scam within the media. The export of sand cannot be regarded as illegal unless and until somebody can prove that it was done with the sole aim of extracting thorium from it.

VV Mineral works in extracting ilmenite, Rutile, Zircon and Garnet. We are admittedly the forerunners of the heavy mineral mining industry.

However, we have never with a business goal attempted to extract thorium or monazite from the sands.

If thorium or monazite was produced as a by product of the processes that we follow for the extraction of the minerals that we primarily deal in then that has been brought to our knowledge only now after our business has been labelled a “scam”.

However, as far as thorium is concerned, we landed licenses to extract it only after it was delisted during the government.

Thorium and monazite were never a part of our mining agenda. We landed the thorium mining license only so that we could keep our future business possibilities open.

VV Minerals India in no way endorses the illegal mining of not just thorium or monazite but of any mineral at all.
